Simon Lloyd, RFS Chief Executive, is leading the development of RFS strategy and a number of new and high profile projects and partnerships. Simon has more than 30 years of commercial business management experience. He owns and manages woodlands in Herefordshire and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry from Bangor University.

Claire Street, Membership Events & Administration Officer, manages events and day-to-day administration at RFS HQ, covering everything from administering Long Service Awards to arranging conferences.  She previously spent over 15 years in recruitment, including 10 years working for Macdonald & Company, a RICS-affiliated Property recruitment consultancy focused on executive search.

Dawn Dewhurst, Membership Services Finance, manages the day-to-day finances at the RFS and assists in many other projects at the Hay Barns. She previously worked as Payroll Manager for Fountains Ltd and has accumulated years of relevant experience.
Outside the RFS, Dawn takes an active role in running her husband’s flying school business.

 Zoe Knight, Membership Services Coordinator, is your first point of contact for any new or current RFS membership enquiries. Zoe has extensive administrative experience and has spent her working life in various roles for charities in the animal welfare, conservation and education sectors. From hands on work with Vervet Monkeys in South Africa, to running campaigns, public engagement and fundraising events- Zoe's passion for the outdoors and the environment is evident in everything she does. 

 

Jen T 

 Jen Turner, Development Manager, is working with our supporters to raise funds for our exciting programmes of work. She is an advocate for great woodland management and has spent the last 11 years working in the nature conservation and ecology sectors. Before joining the RFS Jen was a Fundraising Manager at the RSPB and previous to that, she worked as an ecological consultant and project manager.
Jen holds a BSc (Hons) in Marine Biology and an MSc in Environmental Management. 

 
 Adam1

Adam Todd, is the RFS's Future Foresters Project Officer. Future Foresters aims to address an acknowledged shortage of forestry and woodland management skills. Adam takes the lead on a number of ground breaking projects, including the Forestry Roots project, the online Forestry and Arboriculture Careers Guide, and the armed forces transition project, as well as managing the suite of RFS bursaries, internships and awards, including the RFS distance learning qualifications and popular RFS Certification scheme.

Adam holds a BSc(Hons) in Forest and Woodland Management from the National School of Forestry, University of Cumbria, and is a qualified arborist. Adam has a keen interest in forestry and woodland resillience, as well as being an active advocate for the safe and scientific management of deer and grey squirrels in the UK. 

 

Kate

Kate Zwartouw, Office Administrator, has experience working in a variety of sales and administration positions, most recently having worked in further education, gaining qualifications in teaching, learning and using technology within education. Kate has a part time role based at the RFS Headquarters, covering administration tasks and working in a supporting role with our various educational projects and memberships.

Kate is no stranger to the outdoors, having a background that includes game farming, dairy, beef and arable farming. Owning a Siberian Husky means she spends a lot of time in local countryside and woodland, which is a personal passion for Kate.
