Simon Lloyd, RFS Chief Executive, is leading the development of RFS strategy and a number of new and high profile projects and partnerships. Simon has more than 30 years of commercial business management experience. He owns and manages woodlands in Herefordshire and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry from Bangor University.
Karen Jones, Membership Services Manager, is our lynch pin, managing the day-to-day running of the RFS at the Hay Barns covering everything from administering Long Service Awards to arranging conferences. Karen has a wide range of experience in a variety of roles in a career spanning over 20 years, including Oxford Health NHS FoundationTrust and Remploy Ltd.
Dawn Dewhurst, Membership Services Finance, manages the day-to-day finances at the RFS and assists in many other projects at the Hay Barns. She previously worked as Payroll Manager for Fountains Ltd and has accumulated years of relevant experience. Outside the RFS, Dawn takes an active role in running her husband’s flying school business.
Zoe Knight, Membership Services Coordinator, is your first point of contact for any new or current RFS membership enquiries. Zoe has extensive administrative experience and has spent the past 12 years working for charities in various roles. Before joining the RFS, Zoe was Office Administrator and Secretary for the RSPB’s Midlands Regional Head Office.
Corinne Moss, Teaching Trees Project Coordinator, manages the RFS Teaching Trees programme for schools as it expands into new areas. Corinne’s career in Conservation Management and Environmental Education has spanned 20 years. She holds a degree in Environmental Science, and previously worked as a conservation charity project officer, a ranger and conservation and recreation sites manager.
Caroline Hukins, Development Manager, is supporting the development and expansion of RFS educational programmes for schools through to experienced foresters. She has a long history of fundraising experience and was selected onto the Clore Social Leadership.
Edward (Ted) Wilson, Education Manager, leads the educational programmes at RFS. He trained as a forester in Scotland and Canada, and has extensive experience as a forest manager, researcher, university lecturer and forestry consultant.Ted has contributed to or led a wide range of research and technical projects, especially in the area of silviculture, and is passionate about all aspects of forestry education. He is an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Forestry, University of Toronto, Canada, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology. Adam Todd is the RFS's first Future Foresters Project Officer. Future Foresters is supported by the Prince's Countryside Fund and RFS members and aims to address an acknowledged skills shortage in the sector. Adam takes the lead on a number of its ground breaking projects, including the Conifers for Colleges research project and the online Forestry and Arboriculture Careers Guide hosted by RFS on behalf of the Forestry Learning and Development Working Group. He will assist with several RFS student bursaries and awards. Adam holds a BSc(Hons) in Forest and Woodland Management from the National School of Forestry, University of Cumbria and is a qualified arborist.
