Our thanks to ALA Green Charitable Trust for making this possible and to our Members for offering the posts that start people’s careers in forestry.

A recent report published by the Forestry Skills Forum (Forestry Workforce Research, August 2021), indicates that the forestry workforce in England and Wales will need to increase by 100 people per year to 2030 to meet the growing demand for forestry skills.

By providing 10 forestry traineeships a year, the Forestry Roots project has the potential to provide 10% of the demand for new recruits.

Meet the 2023 cohort and see what they have to say about their new roles here.
