Bagley Woods, Oxford – Oxon & Bucks Division
Bagley Wood (220ha) is unique in its long history and is located in a semi urban environment close to Oxford. Discussions will include management of commercial woodlands near an urban environment and the challenges this poses, including fire damage and tree safety for high usage areas, as well as conversation around the plan to convert a large proportion of the woodland to CCF whilst retaining both character and commercial viability. This visit will by hosted by Adam Todd, Savills, on behalf of St Johns College. Please note this new date, changed from 12 July 2023.

Pre-visit information
In the light of COVID 19, we urge all members to read our COVID 19 guideline notes before attending woodland meetings. In addition, as an educational charity, the RFS must lead by example on the biosecurity measures recommended by the Forestry Commission (FC) and Defra to minimise the risk of spreading soil-borne tree infections. You can make a difference to stopping the spread of tree diseases. Clean boots are a first step! For further information, please click here
