We won’t link these details with your survey answers and we will only use these details for the purposes of administering the competition. Please note that this competition is for those who work (or have worked) in forestry, agriculture or allied sectors. Royal Forestry Society (RFS) staff and trustees are excluded from the competition but RFS volunteers may enter (provided they are not also a member of staff or a trustee). A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted. A full copy of our terms and conditions is given below.
Free Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
- By entering the prize draw you are agreeing to these prize draw terms and conditions.
- The prize draw is being run by The Royal Forestry Society (RFS); a Charitable Company limited by guarantee in England and Wales, Company Registration Number: 5306975. Charity Registration Number: 306093
Eligibility to enter
- The prize draw is open to entrants over 18 years of age with direct experience of the Forestry Sector (and allied sectors). RFS staff members and members of the RFS Board of Directors are excluded from the draw. RFS Volunteers are eligible to enter the competition (unless they are also a member of staff or a trustee).
- The competition is only open to residents of the United Kingdom, which comprises England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. For the avoidance of doubt, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man are also considered to be part of the United Kingdom for these purposes.
- In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win.
- A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.
- The prize draw is free to enter.
How to enter
- The prize draw will include those who have submitted a valid entry form (hard copy or digital) by Midnight on Monday 25 August 2025. Entries after that time and date will not be included in the draw.
- To enter the prize draw simply complete our Breaking Points Survey and fill out a separate competition entry form (hard copy or online via www.rfs.org.uk)
- The RFS will not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete, inaccurate or illegible.
The prize
- The prize will be one Milwaukee M18 battery powered chainsaw.
- RFSs use of particular brands as prizes does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands.
- The winner will be drawn at random.
- The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
- We reserve the right to substitute prizes with another prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
- The decision of the RFS regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
- The winner will be notified after 26 August 2025 via the email provided on the entry form.
- The RFS will attempt to contact the winner by email up to two times.
- If the winner does not respond to the emails notifying them of their win within 14 days of the second email, they will lose their right to the prize, and The RFS reserves the right to choose and notify a new winner.
Receipt of the prize
- Please allow 28 days for delivery of the prize or alternative collection or delivery arrangements may be made through mutual agreement.
Data protection and publicity
- You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the prize draw being used by The RFS for the purposes of administering the prize draw, and for those purposes as defined within our privacy notice.
- All entrants may apply for details of the winning participant by contacting us at rfshq@rfs.org.uk
- The winner agrees to the release of their first name and county of residence to any other prize draw participants if requested via RFS.
- An announcement of the winners first name and county of residence may be made via RFSs website, socials and e-newsletter.
- All personal information shall be used in accordance with RFSs Privacy Notice.
Limitation of Liability
- The RFS does not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the prize draw or being selected for a prize, save that the RFS does not exclude its liability for death or personal injury as a result of its own negligence.
- The RFS will not provide any form of practical or IT support for this prize. On receipt, all responsibilities relating to warranty and the product are that of the prize winner.
General
- The RFS reserves the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.
28. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
