Welcome aboard: Sam and Kate join RFS team

The Royal Forestry Society (RFS) is delighted to welcome two new members of staff to our team.

Sam Britton joins in the new role of Learning and Outreach Support Officer supporting Learning and Outreach Manager Becky Wilkinson. Together, they will run our Teaching Trees and Future Forester programmes.

Sam graduated with an HND in Countryside Management from Aberystwyth University. She is also a qualified Forest School leader. She has worked for Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, The Sir Harold Hillier Gardens and The Sustainability Centre. She has led Forest School and Outdoor Learning sessions as well as co-ordinating adult learning programmes.

Kate McKeever is our new Membership Officer. She has extensive administrative experience across different sectors. Kate is enthusiastic about securing woodlands for future generations to enjoy. She replaces Zoe Knight who has left to establish a new Life Coaching venture.

Jen Turner, RFS Development Manager says: “Sam and Kate bring fantastic skills to the team. We are delighted that they have been able to join us at such an exciting time in forestry. We also wish Zoe well with her new business.”
