Duke of Cornwall Award for Resilient Multipurpose Forestry 2021
Coed Caeaugwynedd, Llanfyllin, Powys, has won the award. Second place has gone to the Llanover Estate, Monmouthshire. Certificates of Merit were awarded to Powis Castle Estate, Welshpool, and Shane’s Castle Estate, Co. Antrim.

The Llangoed Estate, Builth Wells, Powys, has won the RFS Award for Excellence in Silviculture. Second place goes to The Myarth, Glanusk Estates, Brecon. A Certificate of Merit is awarded to Largybeg Wood, Co. Tyrone.

Bron Haul, North Wales, and Portloughan Farm, Co Down, have jointly won the Small and Farm Woodland Award 2021. A Certificate of Merit has been awarded to Wurthymp Wood near Wrexham.

Coleg Glynllifon Further Education College, Gwynedd, has won the award with their Level 2 & 3 BTECs Countryside and Forestry courses. Second place went to the School of Natural Sciences, Bangor University, for two part-time MSc on-line courses. A Certificate of Merit was awarded to Nature’s Classroom, Creggan Country Park, Derry.

Pondhead Conservation Trust in Hampshire praised for bringing history to life
The RFS 2019 Community Woodland Award goes to a site managed by Pondhead Conservation Trust in Hampshire, praised for bringing history to life; silver goes to a Community Woodland managed by Forestry England in Kent and a certificate of merit is awarded to a new community woodland in East Sussex which is managed by a Community Benefit Society and is praised for its long term vision.
