Donate to the Teaching Trees Appeal

Teaching Trees Banner

Thank you for visiting the Teaching Trees Appeal pages of our website.

Our free, curriculum based, outdoor learning sessions in woodlands are needed now more than ever after children have experienced an extended period of staying indoors during the corona virus outbreak.

We also want to be able to offer teachers and learning practioners free, downloadable learning resources so they can get their children outside and convey important forestry messages about timber, pest control and wildlife management.

We need your help to raise £24,000 so that we can include more children in this programme. We already operate in 12 counties but with your help, we can run new sessions for disadvantaged children and the adults who teach them in Monmouthshire, Blaenau Gwent, Powys, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Leeds, Bradford, Cheshire and Derbyshire.

With your help we can offer more school visits to RFS Member woodlands, more training bursaries for teachers and practitioners working in deprived neighbourhoods and extend our free, downloadable resources for schools and homeschoolers.

Your donation will increase the numbers of children who value the role of woodlands and the people who care for them. If more children value trees and woodlands, will be in a better position to meet the challenges of growing more and resilient trees in a changing climate.

Thank you for your support.
