Reviews 2 player games unblocked: LEGO 2K Drive

Visual Concepts has been doing the same thing for over 20 years: basketball, baseball, hockey and wrestling simulations. Therefore, the announcement of LEGO 2K Drive from this team was unexpected, and the project is being published by 2 player games unblocked, which had nothing to do with LEGO. Despite the lack of a lot of experience, the team managed to make a bright and fun racing arcade game, which you spend several evenings with pleasure. However, even here 2K managed to spoil the raspberries with their greed.

Attempts to create racing 2 player games unblocked about yellow men have already been made - long-time fans of designers remember the LEGO Racers dilogy. The sequel, compared to the original, was very impressive: here you have an open world, divided into several regions, and the ability to assemble your own vehicles from parts. After the release of the second part in 2001, the series was forgotten, but in LEGO 2K Drive these distinctive features are in place: both large locations and vehicle customization. And both, of course, are made many times better than then.

The open world of the novelty resembles Forza Horizon. You also go wherever your eyes look, follow the road on the mini-map and regularly stumble upon entertainment. Demolishing everything at high speed is even more fun here, because they are all built from LEGO figures and scatter into chips in a funny way: small trees, and fences, and poles, and bushes. If the protagonist's car is quite strong, then the rest of the cars (as well as planes with boats) fall apart from one touch - at such moments you feel like a child in a sandbox who wants to break everything. You can also shoot down passers-by - they just fly far away, plop down on the fifth point and get up as if nothing had happened.

One of the most interesting "chips" of the game is the automatic switching of vehicles depending on the surface you are driving on. On asphalt, you drive a sports car, and as soon as you drive onto the ground or sand, the car transforms into an SUV. And if you then go to the reservoir, you will suddenly find yourself at the helm of the boat. The idea is not new - this was in The Crew 2 , and the older audience will remember Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed . But neither there nor there did it happen so quickly. And if in Sonic the transport model remained the same, it just had wheels disappearing or an air cushion appeared, then here you can turn from a luxury sports car into a flying saucer on wheels or something more unusual - and it happens as if with a snap of your fingers.

Thanks to this, the ride does not get boring, especially when, as you progress, you open up additional opportunities, such as jetpacks scattered throughout the locations. For the same reason, traditional races in which you compete with several opponents are also exciting. Somewhere you need to cut a couple of circles, somewhere you just need to get to the finish line, and almost always the races turn out to be very intense and dynamic due to the frequent switching of vehicles. Here you are pushing with your opponents while sitting in a sports car, now you drive onto a springboard and land on a river, drifting through the waves and trying to overtake someone on a turn - the races are not too long, but they leave a lot of bright emotions.

Here, as in LEGO Racing , various amplifiers hang over the track: you can throw grenades in front of you, launch rockets, throw a slowing web at the enemy, and so on. AI willingly picks up these bonuses, not allowing the player to use them, and actively uses them, so the local races do not become a very easy walk. While rubber banding is included, it's not overly aggressive, so it doesn't get in the way of enjoying racing. In general, the complexity is adequate. I restarted some races several times - no one is safe from a rocket flying into the trunk just before the finish line.

I am glad how pleasant it is to drive here. There is a quick turn button, there is the ability to drift (almost infinitely!), the acceleration button is located very conveniently, and you constantly press it. You can also jump, and the further you go through the game, the more often you use it, deftly jumping over obstacles. The game encourages those who are not just rushing ahead, but creative approaches to racing - find cuts and so on. Here, it is not even necessary to pass through the gates at control points - Forza Horizon punishes for this, but here there is a little more freedom.

Classic racing is not limited to this - this is only a small part of what the open world offers. In each of the four regions, only one garage is initially marked, serving as a fast travel point. And when you start to travel on the roads, you come across all kinds of entertainment, many of which start as soon as you pass through the big blue gates. Either you need to drift as long as possible, then drive a couple of kilometers without knocking down objects, then make a long jump. There are short side tasks of varying degrees of absurdity: in one you weed out the weeds on the field, in the other you shoot down flying saucers and rescue cows abducted by aliens.

Not all mini-2 player games unblocked are equally good. There are very boring episodes with protecting generators from crowds of exploding monsters, but the most tiring missions in which the area is attacked by skeletons or other monsters, and you need to collect panicked citizens and take them to a safe place. Thankfully, there are few frankly boring tasks in the game, and even repetitive missions are fun - like, for example, chasing criminals in a police car with the ability to fire rockets.

Although the study of the open world is already distracting from time to time, from time to time the game literally forces you to do it. After the next story race, you may be asked to reach a certain level, and only after that the next races will open. Such a grind seems very inappropriate, since these levels do not really bring anything - they exist only to stretch the short “plot”.

On the other hand, you will be able to unlock many prizes, among which there are useful trophies. For completing races, you get new vehicles - they not only have a unique design, but also have different characteristics. Some go faster, but handle a little worse, some withstand more explosions in fierce races. Some cars and boats have exclusive passive perks - one will make your web throws more efficient, while the other will make your speed consumption slower.

But above all, you hunt not so much for cars as for details. In the local garage (also available in the main menu) you can create a dream car almost from scratch. First you choose the type of transport, then decide how its bottom looks, and after that you start to design anything. There are a huge number of parts of various sizes here: you can create walls, spoilers, hood decorations and other elements by sculpting everything - as long as one part has a spike and the other has a notch. If you want to remove some brick, you don’t need to disassemble the entire structure - you select the desired part of the building and delete it with one button.

When you complete the main work, you pay attention to everything else: paint the car in different colors, if possible, rotate or tilt individual elements like a spoiler and wings. There's even a primitive programming mode where you specify when the headlights should come on: when turning, braking, colliding, and so on. There are plenty of convenient settings: simultaneous selection of several bricks, and the ability to create mirror copies of structures if you stick something beautiful on the left side and want to repeat it on the right.

Although sometimes you have to fight with the camera to get the part right, overall the creative mode turned out great and will captivate even those who don't usually spend time on such things. Well, riding on self-made cars every time causes a pleasant feeling. It’s a pity that inventions cannot be shared yet - the developers promise to add this feature, but it is not known whether a separate hub with user creations will appear in LEGO 2K Drive , or it will be something simpler.

Unfortunately, it wouldn't be a 2 player games unblocked game if microtransactions weren't added to it. It would seem that at least the project, designed mainly for children, would be left alone, but no. You get local currency for participating in races and mini-games, and you can spend it at a local store where new models of cars are sold for big money - both created specifically for the game and inspired by existing designers. You can also buy parts designed for creative mode, and they are half the price. To get more currency, it is proposed to spend real money - one machine will cost about $5.

Currency, of course, can be saved, but even for the passage of the campaign they don’t give enough money so that you can safely buy everything in a row - what if something cooler appears later? In such a situation, multiplayer would have saved, but there are two problems. Firstly, in the online championship mode, I could not find anyone a day after the release. Secondly, although people come across in ordinary races, the prizes for participation are not very impressive - in the first race I took fourth place and got two bucks. You can forget about a car for 10,000! There is no balance in multiplayer - everyone drives cars that they bought or made in the story campaign.

LEGO 2K Drive is a fun arcade racing game and a worthy successor to the forgotten LEGO Racers series. The open world is fun to drive, the competition is intense and varied, and the 2 player games unblocked are full of fun, albeit some of them tiring. And the opportunity to design your own cars will encourage you to spend several evenings in the local garage. The presence of a grind in the story campaign is annoying, but microtransactions are the most upsetting, which you don’t want to see in such projects at all. I hope that the amount of currency received in the game will increase, although with such a publisher you can not count on it.

Pros: diverse regions filled with entertainment from classic races to all sorts of mini-games; funny races with aggressive opponents and different tracks; convenient management; a rich car editor that allows you to create your own cars from a variety of parts; bright world and funny dialogues.

Cons: inappropriate grind in the story campaign; a few boring 2 player games unblocked that are also repetitive; microtransactions in a game designed for children.
