RFS Future Foresters Officer Adam Pickles says: “Alongside the extensive work-based experience each of these posts offers, is a comprehensive package of training which will help each of the candidates develop the skills sets which we know are in short supply within forestry.”

ALA Green Charitable Trust says: “This has been a difficult year for many, but the importance of fostering the skills that are required within a growing forestry sector were underlined by recognition of forestry sector as a key sector during the coronavirus crisis. We are immensely proud to be helping develop the future foresters who will be helping to build strong and resilient woodlands for the future.”

College Level posts are:

For some successful candidates in 2019 and 2020 the Forestry Roots posts have led to permanent positions while others have gone on to pursue other opportunities.
