We were delighted to host Chief Plant Health Officer Professor Nicola Spence on a tour of our Hockeridge Wood near Berkhamsted to discuss climate adapted woodland management and the need for greater flexibility to build resilience into woodland.

Joining RFS Chief Executive Simon Lloyd and Nicola Spence were Forestry Commission Adviser, Woodland Creation and Resilience, John Weir, Hockeridge Woodland Manager John Morris, and Nathan Fall and Katie Stevens from Nicholsons.

You can read Simon Lloyd’s blog on the need to plant a much greater variety of tree species here
