Celebrating seven special foresters

More than 260 years of great forestry have been celebrated with awards to seven very special foresters from five different locations across England and Wales during 2019.

The awards recognise and thank those whose skill and dedication in shaping our woodlands might otherwise go largely unrecognised.

Long service Awards went to:

Commenting on his career, Mick Dickinson, Head Forester at Abbeystead Estate summed up: “There’s no comparison between 40 years ago and now. The industry is a lot more progressive."

50 year awards

David Spooner, Walsingham Estate, Norfolk

 

40 year awards

Simon Tremain, West England Forest District, Forestry England 

 

30 year awards

Clive Hunt, West England Forest District, Forestry England

Andrew Love, Powis Castle Estate, Powys, Wales
