What ages is this intended for?
Although intended for ages 14 – 18, any learner over the age of 8 can participate.
How much time would we need to commit?
The Award needs to be delivered over a minimum of 40 learning hours. We anticipate that many providers would choose to deliver this as 20 x 2 hour sessions but it is up to the Centre to choose the timing that best suits the organisation and your learners.
How do we register to deliver this qualification?
Everyone wishing to deliver this Award must be registered with our partners, the AIM Group. Please visit their site here for more information.
Can I register to do this Award with the RFS?
We do not currently deliver this Award directly.
Can I do this Award online?
Due to the practical, face to face nature of this Award, we are unable to offer this qualification to individuals or as an online or distance learning option.
Is there funding available to deliver this qualification?
As a new qualification, there isn’t currently funding available to deliver the Award. We are hoping that there will be in the future.
What qualifications do I need to deliver this course?
As this is an accredited qualification, all tutors need to meet the standards set out by OCN. Details of the requirements can be found on the AIM Group site. Please note that we are unable to comment on the suitability of alternative qualifications, all of these will need to be assessed by AIM on a case by case basis.
