Role Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic business development plans, targeting key customers and sectors
Drive growth in sales of hedging plants, trees, and associated products to landowners, while expanding reach into the landscaping and amenity sectors
Meet and exceed targets and performance measures to increase market share
Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, agents, and consultants, leveraging an established network to generate new opportunities
Maximise the uptake of grant schemes and environmental programmes (e.g. SFI), guiding subsidy frameworks and funding opportunities
Identify and develop new commercial opportunities, including innovative offerings such as tree sponsorship schemes aligned to corporate social responsibilities
Stay up to date on market trends and competitor landscape, actively identify new opportunities

Skills You Will Need

Essential

Proven background in either the agricultural, land management or rural estate sectors
Proactive and driven, able to identify new business opportunities
A well-established network across the agricultural and rural estate sectors
Strong stakeholder and relationship-building skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across a range of audiences
Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets
Highly organised, personable, and motivated, able to manage own diary
A team player with a collaborative approach
Proficient IT skills and familiarity with CRM systems
A UK driving licence and the desire to travel

Desirable

Knowledge of grants, funding and environmental schemes
Knowledge of hedging, trees, and related land-based products

Remuneration

A competitive salary, bonus, and package including company car and commission commensurate with the successful candidate’s level of experience
