Job Summary
As an Instructor Demonstrator at Coleg Cambria Llysfasi, the individual will deliver practical landbased education, imparting knowledge on tractor driving, agri/forestry machinery, workshop skills and estate work. Collaboration with academic staff is crucial to align hands-on land based practices with the theoretical underpinnings provided in the classroom, and the role involves assessing students’ application of skills in real-world landbased scenarios.
Additionally, the position entails an introduction to agricultural engineering principles, where the demonstrator will guide students through the basics of machinery used in both forestry and agriculture. This dual focus demands an up-to-date understanding of industry standards and a commitment to championing environmental stewardship alongside technological efficiency. The demonstrator’s role is thus a blend of teaching core forestry practices and integrating essential agricultural engineering concepts, preparing students for the multifaceted nature of rural land management careers.
