QJF Photographic Competition Terms and Conditions
All entries must be submitted digitally by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Images must be in jpeg format, no
smaller than 1 megabyte and no larger than 5 megabytes.
The title of the photograph must include the photographer’s name.
The subject of the email must be:
RFS Photography Competition 2021.
The body of the email must contain the following information:
• Photographer’s name, address and telephone number
• Type of camera used
• Short description of the subject of the photo entered (no more than 100 words), including location.
Failure to include any of this information may mean that we are unable to assess your entry.
Entries must be from fully paid up members of the Royal Forestry Society.
Images can be taken using any type of digital camera.
Three entries allowed per member.
All entries must be received by midnight 31st October 2021.
The winners will be contacted by 31st March 2022.
Entries must be entirely the work of the entrant and by submitting you are confirming that the image was taken by you. Any evidence to the contrary will result in immediate disqualification.
Entrants must hold the sole copyright of each photograph they enter.
Photographs must be obtained legally with the landowner’s permission where necessary.
Entries must never have been published, self-published, published on any website, blog or online forum. Entries that have previously won an open photographic competition are not eligible.
The Royal Forestry Society has the unrestricted right to publish any entered image in publications, on its website, and in any related material for PR purposes.
Entrants must be over 18 or over, and residents of the UK.
The competition is not open to employees or Trustees of the Royal Forestry Society.
Judging will be carried out by a board of judges appointed by the RFS.
No correspondence will be entered into by the judges or organisers regarding the judging or organisation of the competition.
The winning photographs will be exhibited as appropriate. Photographs placed first, second, third
and fourth will be considered for publication on the front cover of the QJF through 2022.
