Whole Society Meeting (WSM)

In May each year, the Royal Forestry Society organises a Whole Society Meeting (WSM).  This is a study tour of an area of the country which is open to all RFS members and their guests.

Every year, a different Division of the RFS hosts the WSM in order to showcase the best of forestry in their region. Traditionally the Annual AGM takes place during WSM week, along with the Annual Dinner. The event takes place over four or five days. Members can purchase tickets for any number of days and can stay at a conveniently located base hotel at which the RFS has agreed preferential dining and rooming rates in advance.

The daily ticket price includes coach travel from/to the hotel to all venues, plus a hot or cold buffet lunch.

To find out more about previous WSMs, members can search for full reports in the relevant year's editions of the QJF.

The Whole Society Meeting 2021 will be hosted by the North West Midlands Division.  You can see the itinerary HERE.
