Donington Park and Calke Abbey – Midlands Division
Topics will include discussing planned floodplain planting in 2026 and looking at the deer park and deer larder/processing. After lunch and the Divisional AGM, we will move to Calke Abbey.
The Donington Park visit will be hosted by Mr John Shields and his family. Along with floodplain planting we’ll look at the self-supplied biomass boiler for the hospitality complex We’ll visit the deer park with the wonderful ancient oaks and a deer larder/processing facility which provides a direct supply for use at functions on site. There will more information about the Calke Abbey visit to follow.
