Book Club

New for 2021!

Welcome to the RFS Book Club

Over the coming months we will be talking to well-known authors about their books and inviting you to join in on line and ask the authors your questions.  We are aiming for a mix of topics to appeal to a wide readership and hope you will enjoy getting together to discuss a wide range of themes.

We will be giving you plenty of time to read each book and where possible we are arranging for a special book discount, available when you register for each event. Book Club is free to members but spaces are limited.

You do not need to ‘attend’ each meeting, but pick and choose those books that appeal to you.

To register for an event, follow the links below.

Wilding Front Cover
Isabella Tree

Wilding: The Return of Nature to a British Farm by Isabella Tree

Isabella Tree is an award-winning author and travel writer. She lives with her husband, the conservationist Charlie Burrell, in the middle of a pioneering rewilding project in West Sussex.

In Wilding, published by Picador, she tells the fascinating story of the 'Knepp experiment' using free-roaming grazing animals to create new habitats for wildlife. Part gripping memoir, part fascinating account of how taking a leap of faith and ceasing unprofitable intensive farming on the heavy clay has resulted in a land which has become a functioning ecosystem again, heaving with life - all by itself.

Sunday Times Bestseller

Shortlisted for the Wainwright Golden Beer Book Prize 2019
