Goodnature A18 Grey squirrel trap workshop - Hockeridge, nr Ashley Green, Bucks

Course Objectives

The GoodNature A18 grey squirrel trap was introduced to the market in England and Wales earlier this year. The trap is a potential game changer in the control of grey squirrels to prevent damage, disease and death of broadleaved trees. However, users need to learn how to use the trap to get the best results.

The workshop will provide delegates with the knowledge and fieldcraft to identify trap locations, create grey squirrel feeding habitats and successfully control grey squirrel populations in woodland.

  • Lures and feeding strategy
  • Landscape trial
  • Trapping location & best practice
  • Install techniques
  • Maintenance for passive control

Duration: Start 11.00am, finish 1.30pm.

Note to delegates: No refreshments or food will be provided so delegates are recommended to bring their own refreshments as needed.  The course will take place in the outdoors in a woodland environment so please wear suitable footwear and clothing and bring waterproofs.

About the instructor:

Vance is a military veteran with a passion for the countryside. His experiences in both wildlife management and conservation have brought a dynamic view to conservation pest control. Now the Managing Director of Goodnature Traps UK, Vance is responsible for all aspects of the company, from management right through to end user installation. His broad outlook ensures a positive experience for our supporters.
