Mark completed his qualification to a high standard, collecting many extra qualifications along the way.

His lecturer said: "He has put much time and effort into his college studies, while coping with many changes and uncertainties at work. The future is looking more stable, and Mark hopes to remain with his employer and continue working alongside the small team that supported him during his studies.

Rob was also this year's winner of the George Clive Memorial Prize awarded by the division to the most conscientious student . More details here.

His lecturer said: Rob has consistently produced work to a very high standard, and has invested extra time and effort to get the most from his college experience. He joined other groups on practical sessions, frequently helping to motivate them to greater success, for example in woodland skills and business management. He often worked after classes to ensure projects were completed and has collected a wide range of additional qualifications. Rob comes to forestry after an earlier career that included eight years teaching theatre design and stage management. He now lives in Herefordshire where he plans to develop his own forestry contracting business.
