Battram Volunteer Day

The RFS is proud to own and manage Battram woods, a community woodland at the heart of the National Forest.

Come and join us at 10.00 on Saturday 19 October, for our Battram Wood Community day.

We will be clearing some of the vegetation from the pond, and making sure the paths are clear of tree branches and litter.  Practical instruction will be given, and tools will be provided.  After a picnic lunch (please bring your own picnic or packed lunch), everyone will be invited to join a short, guided walk around the woods, and we will aim to finish by early afternoon.

Supervised, and well-behaved children and dogs will be welcome.

Please wear suitable (gardening) clothing and footwear. We will provide some tools but if you have your own pair of secateurs please bring them with you. If you are able to help with the pond, please bring wellingtons or waders.
