The prize for Coleg Cambria’s top forestry and arb student 2016 has been awarded to Nathan Dunn. Nathan was unable to attend the presentation, but we send him many congratulations!

The prize for Coleg Cambria’s top forestry and arb students has been awarded to John Reanny. John was selected for his outstanding work over the two years in which he completed the Extended Diploma in Forestry and Arb Course.
John’s lectures had the following to say about John; “John is a hardworking and conscientious student. He is always enthusiastic and keen to learn, and has produced good work in every unit of the course.
His project for the course was well thought out and executed, and involved John designing and building his very own logging arch for small scale timber extraction. He also had an excellent period of work placement with Denbighshire Countryside Services.
In addition to the main qualification, John has also achieved a wide range of practical skill qualifications, including
- use of chainsaws
- use of chippers
- use of brushcutters and strimmers
- operation of fork lift vehicles and telescopic handler
- tree climbing and aerial rescue
- using chainsaw from rope and harness
- pesticide spraying, and
- Use of quad bike
Every tutor that has dealt with John has commented that he has been a model student! We wish John all the very best for his future career.
