NEW: Forestry Research and Development Assistant

The first Patsy Wood Scholarship is offered by the Future Trees Trust with the support of the RFS.

This is a unique opportunity to work with three innovative forestry businesses in Devon. The role is designed to help a recent university graduate secure their first paid forestry employment and an excellent first step to a successful forestry career. It provides an opportunity to develop your work-based skills and your own areas of interest.  You will be part of an experienced team and will be expected to be a highly self-motivated individual who can contribute and develop ideas from your recent studies and from the team.

Employer: Dartington Hall Trust supported by Timber Strategies and South Devon Sawmills

Eligibility: A recent graduate with a BSc or MSc in a forestry, land-based or biological discipline.  Other disciplines will be considered and encouraged if the candidate can show significant interest in bringing their specialist skills to the forestry sector

Location: Dartington, Totnes, Devon

Salary: £19,500 pa

Terms: One year fixed term contract

CPD: up to 20 training release days
